CHC

it's always fun to win a tournament, no matter how big or small, no matter how good or bad the teams in attendance, and no matter who was or wasn't there. not to take away anything from mr. briefcase, rival, and flaming moe. they all gave us good games, and made it worthwhile for us to travel to chicago. it just wasn't an ECC/spawnfest or BI of this year, but i guess they can't all be.

man, i'm loosing steam already on this post. let me cut to the chase/highlights:
- five ultimate = awesome. good schwag & good people. plus they had couches, a dunk tank, and a speed gun for measuring how fast your throws were.
- seeing people = fun. peeps from madison, on sub-zero, that i met at worlds, on enemy teams.
- free beer = clutch. makes for good post-saturday games hanging out.
- yummy dinner = yummy. the falafel & chocolate cake were OUTSTANDING.
- weather = perfect. not too hot, not too cold. just a slight breeze to keep it cool & interesting.
- fields = not too hard. as in years past.
- parents coming to watch = rare. i think they enjoy it. i know we enjoy the coolers full of ice and home-baked cookies.
- hanging with X = very cool. she and farina have broken up, if you could ever say they were together. she was taking it very well, and overall, it was fine, or would have been, had pass not been there and begging for farina's attention and making it awkward. we had some good laughs, though.
- getting hit on by middle-aged men in hotel bar = amusing at first, but quickly annoying. note to all those middle-aged men out there: buy us a drink, flirt for a minute, then get the hell outta there before you start to make us think you're *really* sketchy.
- drew = unbelievably awesome. he is so great & fun to hang out with.

(p.s. i just killed a fruit fly by clapping. just call me mr. miyagi)

yeah, so good weekend. now it's time for sectionals, and i'd be super-psyched if my ankle weren't still hurting. grrrr....
